Transportation activities are recognized for their significant environmental emissions. At HRX Group, we are dedicated to minimizing our environmental impact and improving our long-term sustainability. As part of our ongoing efforts, we have set a goal to achieve carbon-neutral operations by 2035.

Efficient route planning plays a crucial role in reducing emissions and fuel consumption. HRX Group utilizes advanced technologies such as GPS tracking and route optimization software to plan the most efficient routes for deliveries.

HRX Driver’s Academy is an initiative aimed at training our existing employees and attracting new talent to learn eco-driving techniques and expand their driver qualifications.

We promote energy efficiency in our operations by implementing energy-efficient lighting and heating systems in our warehouses and offices, and by encouraging employees to turn off lights and equipment when not in use.

Recycling and waste reduction are key priorities for us. We have implemented recycling programs and waste reduction measures to minimize the amount of waste generated by our operations.

We are also committed to using green energy sources. This includes installing solar panel systems at our terminals and utilizing green electricity, such as wind and solar power, in selected markets where available.

As for our company vehicles, we prioritize sustainability. All new personal cars purchased for company use are either battery electric vehicles (BEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), or operated by biogas.

In our commercial fleet, we are using renewable diesel known as HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil). Currently, all our fleet in Finland operates with HVO, and by autumn 2023, our operations in Sweden will also transition to 100% HVO. In the Baltics, we use HVO with selected fleet, depending on its availability.

Sustainability is one of the main goals of HRX Group, which includes reducing our environmental impact, improving efficiency, and enhancing our reputation and brand image.
